What is UroLift?
UroLift is a minimally invasive treatment for urinary symptoms caused by an enlarged prostate, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Rather than cutting, heating, or removing prostate tissue, the procedure uses small implants to hold enlarged prostate tissue away from the urethra.
By moving the obstructing tissue aside, UroLift creates a more open pathway for urine to pass through the urethra. The implants are designed to remain in place after treatment. While many patients experience lasting improvement in their urinary symptoms, results can vary, and additional treatment may eventually be needed if BPH symptoms return or progress.
